In the twilight she walks to the shore A shore, endless in its length, and she watches the vast infinity of the ocean So beautiful it is, and she is dragged towards the edge Right where water and sand lies as frozen black waves, Waves forever locked in motion So far she goes; she reaches the edge of the world and it is beautiful there just between light and darkness She watches as the shadows of the night and the colored lights of a lone ship dances their silent dance on a black surface Birdwings whisper quietly above her Silence is deafening and she is alone The frozen waves are behind her Before her is only the black infinity of oceans depth As if the twilight has softly coated the world behind her in cotton it seems so distant Just a step from the edge her world stands still So far from reality she seems to be and she sees them those who do not hear the silence A ferry A runner A dog A couple They do not see her and there are no more steps towards The edge. | ||||||||||||||
